The purpose of adding American Express as a payment option is to provide UK business merchants more options. By taking American Express, Revolut hopes to help the company reach a wider and wealthier client base while also fostering the expansion of American Express's network throughout the United Kingdom.

The company has been a major force in the FinTech industry, offering consumers and companies worldwide a full range of financial services, including as payments, currency exchange, and banking.

Revolut Business, its business division, has grown to be a vital resource for businesses looking for adaptable, affordable payment options.

Initially, Revolut's payment gateway, Payment Links, and Tap to Pay on iPhone will accept the recently launched American Express payment option for online purchases. Later this year, in-person payments will also be accepted, giving retailers even more options.

Revolut Business now offers seven distinct payment options for retailers at the point of sale. This diverse service aims to facilitate smooth and simple payment experiences for businesses by enabling them to accommodate a greater range of client preferences.

By enabling its clients to draw in American Express cardholders—who are renowned for their loyalty and higher spending tendencies—the product would also broaden Revolut's commercial options.

Through the acquisition of new audiences, this development is anticipated to further boost corporate growth.
