Purchase now, pay later Sezzle is using a loyalty program to incentivize timely payments and promote financial responsibility.

The new tool, called Payment Streaks, aims to incentivize customers for regular and on-time payments.

Users advance through loyalty tiers by hitting streaks, earning rewards for referring friends and entering monthly giveaways.

 

Sezzle claims that the program demonstrates the company's dedication to "fostering financial responsibility" in an industry that has come under fire for pushing individuals to take on debt.


Charlie Youakim, CEO of Sezzle, states: "We understand the importance of timely payments in building trust and credibility, and the Payment Streaks programme incentivises and recognises our users for their dedication to meeting payment obligations."

US customers can purchase Streaks using the Sezzle mobile app; Canadian customers will get access to the product later in the year.
