Some customers were unable to make payments or cash transfers on Friday morning due to technical difficulties with the NatWest banking app, which occurred for the second time in three months.
Starting at approximately 7:00 am, over a thousand unhappy customers reported issues on the DownDetector website, with 67% mentioning mobile banking and 20% naming cash transfers as the cause.
For millions of British workers, the issue coincided with payday, however NatWest claims it was resolved by about 9:30am.
