Paymentology, an issuer-processor situated in the United Kingdom, has expanded its leadership team with the promotion of Stephen Bowe to chief product officer (CPO).

Bowe's new position involves growing Paymentology's next-generation payments infrastructure, with an emphasis on "seamless" API interfaces.

Additionally, according to the firm, the new CPO will "ensure that customer input remains integral to Paymentology's long-term vision, strengthening the connection between the company's product, technology, and programme management teams."

Prior to this, Bowe oversaw digital media and user experience at UBank, a branch of National Australia Bank. After thereafter, he worked for the Bank of New Zealand for more than eight years, rising to the rank of general manager for applications and digital.

In response to being added to the team, Bowe states that he can't wait to "use our collective knowledge and expertise" to improve the payment processing and issuing product stack at Paymentology.

Bowe follows a string of recent hires at Paymentology, which also includes Tim Joslyn, who was named CTO in May, and new CEO Jeff Parker, who came from Marqeta in December.
