Leading businesses choose Ayden's financial technology platform, and the two have partnered to launch Qoo10, an online marketplace run by eBay Japan.
Fast and stable payment processing, especially during peak periods, will be provided by Adyen to Qoo10 through the seamless management and optimization of payment flows inside a single platform.
Every quarter, Qoo10, a well-known domestic Japanese marketplace, hosts a big sales event known as "Mega Wari." Peak shopping times are one of the difficulties that Adyen will try to support. When there is a lot of traffic, the payment system may not be able to process all of the orders, which could lead to incomplete transactions, a bad shopping experience, and cart abandonment. eBay Japan is able to manage and optimize payments on Adyen's single platform thanks to Adyen's platform, which offers faster and more stable payment processing on Qoo10 even during busy periods.
By converting standard card numbers into safe, non-sensitive tokens via network tokens, Adyen also provides more secure card data storage. Since network tokenization is still in its infancy, not all issuers offer it at this time. Adyen provides network token optimization, which leverages machine learning to select between a network token and PAN payment in order to increase authorization rates, as a solution to this problem. For enterprises, this results in an extra 1% increase in authorization rates.
"We chose Adyen's seamless payment platform because we believe its fast and stable payment processing will provide our customers a pleasant shopping experience, even during sale periods," stated Yuji Tanaka, Head of Japan Controllership at eBay Japan. We think that Adyen's payment infrastructure will keep playing a big role in giving the constantly expanding e-commerce market a more reliable payment experience.
Adyen's President of Asia Pacific, Warren Hayashi, stated, "We are thrilled that Qoo10 has chosen to use our platform, enabling us to provide customers with a more seamless experience." The epidemic has accelerated the trend of online purchasing and raised expectations for better customer service. We'll keep pushing Adyen's platform, which optimizes payments and uses insights from payment data to help a range of organizations."
