The UK FinTech company DNA Payments has added Alipay+, a range of cross-border mobile payment and digitalization technology solutions run by Ant International, to its list of POS alternative payment options.
With this introduction, over 50,000 UK shops utilizing POS terminals from DNA Payments may now effortlessly take direct payments from travelers throughout the world, especially those from Asia. This development is advantageous to the travel, tourist, and hospitality industries. During an initial trial program that ends in June, customers of 14 Alipay+ partner e-wallets may make mobile payments at hospitality merchants such as the Boisdale restaurant group, Lochside House Hotel Spa & Lodges, and Durrants Hotel.
Customers may finish their transactions using their mobile payment applications by simply scanning a QR code that is shown on a DNA Payments POS machine. With the help of DNA Payments' POS systems, this easy procedure improves the shopping experience for foreign visitors to the UK and enables businesses to interact with their clients more effectively.
Alipay (Chinese mainland), AlipayHK (Hong Kong SAR, China), MPay (Macao SAR, China), Touch 'n Go eWallet and MyPB by Public Bank Berhad (Malaysia), Hipay (Mongolia), GCash (The Philippines), OCBC Digital and Changi Pay (Singapore), TrueMoney (Thailand), Tinaba (Italy), and Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, and Toss Pay (South Korea) are some of the 14 e-wallets and banking apps that are partnering with Alipay+ at launch.
Alipay+ was launched by Ant International and provides global coverage, linking 88 million merchants with more than 25 e-wallets and banking applications abroad. It offers a seamless and safe payment process along with access to global merchant discounts, offers, and services.
"The UK is a popular destination with Asian visitors for leisure, study, or work, and they prefer to pay in ways they are familiar with," stated JP Lips, CEO of DNA Payments. Businesses engaged in retail, food and beverage, and hospitality may significantly boost their revenue by using foreign electronic wallets such as Alipay, MPay, and TrueMoney. DNA Payments' goal is to make this as simple as possible for companies of all sizes, including seamless financing and settlement, no need for an additional terminal, and tracking of all payment methods through a single interface. Additionally, we let our clients register for Alipay+ immediately, making it possible to make straightforward, unified payments.
"We're delighted to partner with DNA Payments to enable businesses of all sizes to access the Alipay+ suite of cross-border payment and tech solutions, enabling them to easily receive direct payments from international visitors to the UK, particularly in sectors including hospitality, travel and tourism," said Pietro Candela, General Manager of Alipay+ for Europe.
