Customers may now take contactless payments using an iPhone and the BT Tap to Pay app thanks to a partnership between Etc., the incubation arm of BT Group, and Adyen.
the BT Group's digital and startup incubator, has launched its newest collaboration with Adyen, allowing its small company (SMB) clients to take in-person contactless payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone.
With the iPhone, companies may accept digital wallets, Apple Pay, and actual debit and credit cards by using Tap to Pay. This eliminates the need for additional hardware or card readers.
The BT Group's Tap to Pay app, which was developed in collaboration with Adyen, was tailored to the unique requirements of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs), independent contractors, and mobile workers.
What's included in the BT Tap to Pay application?
In addition to its primary purpose of facilitating contactless payments for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Tap to Pay for iPhone and the BT Tap to Pay App come equipped with integrated security and privacy functionalities. These features allow businesses to easily access payment history and provide a streamlined refund service.
Through this agreement, Adyen's mobile payment competence and EE's connection are combined, and SMEs that use this new service will profit from BT Group's 1.4% transaction rate on client payments received.

"Business owners now have the power in their hands—and on their phones—thanks to the BT Tap to Pay app and iPhone Tap to Pay, which offer a quick and easy way to accept payments without requiring additional hardware. An iPhone and the BT Tap to Pay app are all that are required.
In fact, as it seeks to expand its footprint throughout the regions it serves, Adyen has lately announced a number of agreements, including this one with BT Group.
It announced a collaboration with Klarna in December 2023 to streamline the card payment process for the 150 million customers and 500,000 retail partners of Klarna. Additionally, in January of this year, it inked an agreement with Billie to expand buy now, pay later (BNPL) services into additional European markets.

With the BT app and iPhone, tap to pay. Customers can pay conveniently and securely with the Tap to Pay app, which offers a quick and safe checkout process that improves mobility on site.
