The innovative Spanish fintech company Bnext and the multinational consumer financial services and technology leader Ouro today announced a strategic agreement that will designate Bnext as Ouro's strategic issuer in Europe for the company's portfolio of consumer financial brands and products.

The innovative payment products offered by Ouro include its flagship Netspend brand, which invented the prepaid debit card and is now the industry leader for underserved U.S. consumers seeking better access to payment products, and its cashback-earning multicurrency wallet and payments app, X World Wallet, which is designed for digital nomads and travelers abroad who want more convenience and value for their money.

Ouro Co-founder and CEO Roy Sosa stated, "The Bnext team has a proven track record of innovation and understanding of the customer needs of a growing European market for next-generation payment products and services." "They are the ideal partner for Ouro's ambitious goals because of their entrepreneurial spirit, technical prowess, and capacity to deliver products across European markets," he continued.

In Spain and throughout Europe, Ouro and Bnext will collaborate to launch a variety of initiatives, programs, and partnerships that were created and managed by Ouro's multilingual and multicurrency payments processing platform and issued by Bnext. These products will include digital wallets, prepaid cards, debit cards, and other cutting-edge products that are currently in development. Ouro's strategy focus on innovation, growth, and worldwide market expansion is supported by the collaboration.

The Correos Prepaid Mastercard product was introduced and distributed via 2,389 Correos Spanish Post outlets in Spain last year, marking the beginning of Bnext and Ouro's partnership. Bnext is in possession of passports to all 27 EU member nations as well as Norway, and it is licensed by the Bank of Spain to issue electronic money. Additionally, Bnext has a Mastercard Principal Membership.

Guillermo Vicandi, co-founder of Bnext, remarked, "Our Correos experience demonstrated Ouro's sincere commitment to put financial services within reach for everyone, as well as the speed and impact our joint innovations can make on markets we serve." "As we collaborate with more partners to provide even more value to more consumers, we're excited about what the future holds."

The Correos Prepaid Mastercard was introduced in March 2023. It is a well recognized prepaid debit card that users may use to manage their finances, direct deposit salaries and government benefits, spend money in stores and online, transfer money, and start a Spanish bank account. Customers can access the account via a card and mobile app. Additionally, they can get cash out of ATMs and the Correos office network across Spain.
