Billups and Cedara, a preeminent platform for carbon information, have teamed to bring sustainable practices to the Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising sector.
As part of its commitment to advancing global innovation and sustainability initiatives, Billups uses Cedara's carbon measurement platform to precisely monitor and reduce the environmental impact of its clients' campaigns, according to ESG News.
As part of the collaboration, Billups' clients' OOH and DOOH campaigns' carbon emissions will be computed using Cedara's Carbon Intelligence Platform.
By investing in third-party offset projects that have been validated, Billups will be able to develop offset portfolios that are specifically tailored to compensate for emissions. This data will also help influence strategies for reducing emissions.
Additionally, Cedara will help Billups create corporate sustainability programs.
The partnership between Billups and Cedara is a big step toward 2030's goal of net-zero emissions throughout the media supply chain.
Both businesses are dedicated to fostering a more responsible and clean future for the industry by leading the way in sustainable practices in the out-of-home advertising sector.
"We are eager to accelerate sustainability efforts within the OOH industry as part of Billups' commitment to driving global innovation," stated David Krupp, Global CEO of Billups. By collaborating with Cedara, we can make sure that the right mitigation measures are done and that the environmental impact that our clients' campaigns create is appropriately measured, reported, and handled. Giving our clients the resources they need to comprehend and, more importantly, lower their carbon footprint helps them achieve their sustainability objectives and contributes to a cleaner future.
"Advancing sustainability in OOH plays a vital role in our mission to achieve net zero across the entire media supply chain by 2030," said Eric Shih, Chief Operating Officer of Cedara. Our entry into the OOH market was made possible in large part by Billups, and we are eager to collaborate closely with their team to reduce the environmental impact of OOH advertising.
