As the company grows internationally, payment orchestration provider BR-DGE has announced its first in-region hire for Asia Pacific.
In order to support the growth and effectiveness of the company's merchant activities and partnerships in the area, BR-DGE has named Gerard Pottinger as Head of APAC. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Gerard supervised significant projects in the retail and digital domains while serving as Head of Programs at Entain, one of the biggest betting and gaming companies in the world.
The CEO of BR-DGE, Thomas Gillan, commented on the appointment, saying, "We're now accelerating our plans for geographic expansion after a period of significant growth for BR-DGE." Since we lead the category and currently provide services and solutions globally, it is critical that we offer our foreign partners and customers localized support inside the market.Gerard will play a key role in growing our alliances and wider market objectives in the area, in addition to helping us onboard our enterprise merchants. We eagerly anticipate the team's expansion and the chances Gerard will create in the upcoming months.
BR-DGE is currently in the midst of finalizing a number of agreements with important participants in the area, such as Fat Zebra, an Australian payment platform.
"We're really excited about the BR-DGE team landing in region and look forward to being a part of their APAC ecosystem," said Fat Zebra CEO Pred Dragila. This collaboration is essential to helping partners and merchants in an exciting and changing market as e-commerce keeps expanding quickly.
