Monite, an API-first fintech, has raised a seed round of EUR 6 million to improve its Embedded Finance offerings and grow in the US.
After making this statement, Monite will concentrate on its plan to intensify product development and broaden its offering of Embeddable Financial solutions for B2B platforms and customers in the US.
Concurrently, the company has already taken a few choices about its strategy to join the US market, signing up customers like Capital on Tap and OpenSolar. Both businesses plan to conduct substantial business in the US. In addition, the company included payment rails for cheque and ACH transactions, launched Invoicing and Bill Pay services for US clients, and made sure the product complied with regional regulatory requirements.
With ongoing backing from current investors, Valar Ventures and Third Prime co-led the round.
Additional details on the fundraising round
Given that 64% of SMEs express interest in utilising financial solutions integrated into the platforms they use on a daily basis and taking into account their `system of record}, Monite will be able to concentrate on satisfying customer needs, preferences, and demands while simultaneously developing into a one-stop shop for business users thanks to the funding round. Furthermore, it will have the ability to automate and manage workflows linked to payments, such as order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes, invoice mapping, adherence to regulatory compliance, and internal approvals.
Additionally, the business will concentrate on streamlining the way small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) obtain financial goods and gain from financial inclusion. This will enable them to expand their range of services to include bill payment, invoicing, and other functions by utilising Monite's APIs. Simultaneously, it will make it possible for platforms that assist SMEs to generate additional revenue streams by offering their consumers greater tangible benefits.
As per the press release, Monite plans to use adaptable APIs and SDKs to further improve the way B2B platforms provide safe revenue and expenditure control workflows to its clients in 4-5 weeks. Additionally, platforms should be able to begin offering a full-featured invoicing service with the goal of helping small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) transact. This service should also include compliant quotes, reminders, accounting connectors, and payment links.
It is anticipated that Monite will allow users the opportunity to gain from the integration of enhanced accounts payable automation, encompassing email capture, optical character recognition, several appropriate payment options, and approval processes.
