To help JCB cardholders in France with their payment transactions, La Banque Postale has partnered with the Japan-based card issuer, acquirer, and global payments brand.
Through its partnership with La Banque Postale, JCB is now able to provide its cardholders with a number of advantages. With a vast network of 6,000 ATMs and 17,000 places of contact, including 7,000 post offices, La Banque Postale maintains a significant physical presence throughout France.
JCB cardholders will have access to La Banque Postale's ATMs as part of the initial phase of this long-term partnership. JCB cardholders will be able to use the terminals of La Banque Postale-affiliated businesses to pay for their purchases in France during the second phase. Additional acceptance in the final phase will be observed at online venues as JCB's expanding worldwide merchant network comes into play.
"This strategic partnership with JCB represents a significant step forward in facilitating payment transactions, especially for international tourists and professionals traveling to France," said Jean-Marc Vedrune, director of electronic payment at La Banque Postale.
"We have a history of working together to meet the needs of our customers through our involvement in various international payment initiatives, including the acceptance of foreign cards in our network and transfers. JCB is the perfect partner for us to offer safe and easy transactions."

"As more and more JCB cardmembers plan their next vacation in Europe, France continues to be a popular destination for travelers looking to make the most of their time abroad - whether for leisure or business purposes," said Ray Shinzawa, general director of JCB International (Europe) Ltd. For this reason, we're thrilled to be collaborating with La Banque Postale, one of the top financial institutions in France, to provide our 156 million+ cardholders with even more simple and quick options to spend money around the country.
La Banque Postale continues to be a significant player in the payments industry as a participant in the European Payments Initiative (EPI) and dedicated to international payments.
