The announcement that co-founder Julian Teicke will step down as vice chair of the board of directors and assume the non-executive role of president after nine fruitful years leading wefox's expansion prompted the change.

Under Teicke's direction, the German company has developed into a global leader in the InsurTech space, prioritizing client satisfaction and innovation. The appointment is intended to enable the business to carry out its goal of transforming the insurance sector.

"After almost nine very intense and exciting years with wefox, I have decided to transition to the role of President on the Board and focus more on overall strategy," Teicke stated in reference to his new position at wefox. It lets me make the most difference for Wefox while freeing up more time and energy for my biggest passion: helping entrepreneurs grow their own businesses and granting them the freedom to dream large and create market-leading businesses.

As Executive Chairman and CEO, Hartigan, who joined Wefox in 2023 as Chairman of the Board, will lead the company's long-term objective of transforming the insurance sector.
