Temenos Digital on Amazon Web Services (AWS) powers PVConnect, the new banking app from Vietnam Public Commercial Joint Stock Bank (PVcomBank).

According to Temenos, the new app from the commercial bank provides a "modern and user-friendly mobile banking service" that includes features like incentive programs, bill management, electronic ID verification, transfer and payment services, and more.

Using Temenos' cloud-native digital banking platform, the bank collaborated with the Swiss vendor to "quickly design, build, and launch" the new service.

Temenos continues, "With our platform, PVcomBank will be able to enhance the app with "low/no code tools" and swiftly add new features to satisfy user needs."

In addition, Temenos reports that PVcomBank, which has been using Temenos Core for retail and corporate banking for more than ten years, has been able to integrate its “front and back-office capabilities on a single platform linking on-premise data centers and the cloud” by utilizing Temenos Digital. This has allowed the company to increase automation and streamline processes.

Nguyen Viet Ha, deputy general director of PVcomBank, commented on the release of the bank's new app, stating that Temenos Digital on AWS offers the "scalability and flexibility we need to stay agile and responsive to market trends" and that mobile banking "is the primary channel for our retail business."

Founded in 2013, PVcomBank has 113 locations around Vietnam and oversees assets valued at about VND 230 trillion, or $9 billion.
