In an effort to better serve digital platforms and marketplaces, Ryft, a fintech company located in Manchester, and Clearhaus, a payment service provider and acquirer based in Denmark, have partnered.
In order to expand into the UK market after the agreement, Clearhaus will also take use of Ryft's gold grade FCA licensing, which will allow it to comply with post-Brexit regulations without having to obtain its own licence.
"The Clearhaus vision aligns closely with the Ryft ethos: moving fast, building for customer needs, and focusing on providing the best technology in the market," said Sadra Hosseini, CEO and co-founder of Ryft, in reference to the move. We are eager for this collaboration to develop and for Ryft to expand throughout Europe with Clearhaus' assistance.
Ryft has developed an ideal solution for UK businesses, which can benefit Clearhaus, thanks to its extensive understanding of the UK market gained through collaborations with brands like easyFood, which is a part of the easyJet group. As a bank that embraces technology, Clearhaus clarified that it chose to collaborate with Ryft because of the latter's customer-centric offering and the mutually beneficial nature of their relationship.
With Ryft as a partner, Clearhaus will be able to better serve the constantly expanding European digital business community, which consists of 3,000 marketplaces and over 23,000 underutilized digital platforms searching for a compliant method to monetize transactions without the present entry barriers.
Considering growing throughout Europe
Traditionally, extensive licenses, specialized teams, and considerable expense are needed to implement technology that helps merchants monetarily. These companies will be able to execute PSD2-compliant transactions through their partnership with Ryft, profiting from the transactions that pass through their platforms and creating new revenue streams to support their growth.
By partnering with Clearhaus, Ryft is advancing its European scaling objectives and strengthening its position to compete with other alternative payment providers like Adyen and Stripe Connect.
"This partnership is set to improve our offerings, bringing forth a modern, competitive platform payment solution," said Clearhaus' senior international partner manager, Djoek Derksen. When paired with our broad currency support, this solution is perfectly suited for retailers throughout Europe. In collaboration with Ryft, we hope to offer a smooth payment experience by bringing our quick onboarding times.
In a market that is changing swiftly, Ryft also gives banks the opportunity to support merchant growth by providing a technological layer that they may exploit. Clearhaus is leading the way in demonstrating to banks the value of supporting the digital business community as the first banking partner to work with Ryft.
