Craig Wright's assets worth $7.6 million have been placed under worldwide freeze by a British court, preventing him from moving the money overseas.

prior this month, a judge rejected Wright's prior assertion that he was the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

Overseeing the litigation brought forth by the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) was Judge James Mellor. The judge came to the conclusion that Wright did not create the first Bitcoin whitepaper, create the initial Bitcoin software, or invent Bitcoin.

After that, Wright notified Companies House in the United Kingdom that shares from RCJBR Holding had been transferred to DeMorgan, a Singapore-based business.

According to a recent ruling made public by the Bitcoin Legal Defense Fund, the order to freeze Wright's assets is intended to recover almost £6.7 million in legal fees that COPA has expended. According to court documents, the freeze keeps Wright's resources from running out. The court voiced worries that Wright would try to relocate his assets abroad in order to save money on the legal fees.

In January, Wright made an attempt to resolve the conflict with COPA outside of court in order to avoid growing legal costs; COPA turned down Wright's offer.
