The $33 million Series A fundraising round headed by Evolution Equity Partners and including participation from Munich Re Ventures and Glilot Capital Partners was recently closed by Sweet Security, a trailblazing cloud security company.
Sweet Security's primary goal is to revolutionize the way that companies safeguard their cloud environments. Sweet's technology employs a distinctive combination of deep runtime analysis and behavioral analysis to pinpoint and address critical cloud issues.
Their product is unique in that it fills a significant gap in the state of cloud security standards by offering first-to-market technology that focuses on non-human identities and posture in runtime environments.
The principal purpose of the recently obtained capital is to expand Sweet's activities in the US market and enhance its platform. This incorporates the latest improvements made to its unified runtime platform, which now has the ability to handle runtime non-human identities and increase posture during runtime.
The platform has improved PennyMac's cloud security posture, according to Cyrus Tibbs, Chief Information Security Officer. We used Sweet as a pilot program to test its cloud attack detection capabilities, and we decided to keep it because its runtime insights also revolutionize the way we handle vulnerabilities. With Sweet's runtime suite, we can encrypt, configure, and lock down our cloud workloads with much more accuracy and strategic thinking. We weren't prepared for the value it offers.
Dror Kashti, CEO and co-founder of Sweet Security, discussed his thoughts on the investment round while looking back on the path and future goals. "We had lived the pain our customers experience on a daily basis, so we trusted our experience to build something they'd love even though at first our broad vision for cloud runtime security was met with skepticism."
