A Selection of Recently Appointed and Promoted Executives from Throughout the Industry are Featured in FinTech Magazine

1. Andrew Steadman
Position From: Temenos Senior Product Director
Task To: Sopra Banking Software's Chief Product Officer

The new Chief Product Officer of Sopra Banking Software is Andrew Steadman. He previously held a number of high-level product leadership roles at Accenture, Fiserv, and Temenos before joining. He was a Senior Director Analyst at Gartner as well.

In his new role as Chief Product Officer of Sopra Banking Platform, Steadman will oversee business operations that support innovation and product management in addition to spearheading the company's software-as-a-service (SaaS) product strategy.


Steadman has gained a great deal of expertise over the years that has helped him succeed in his new position overseeing products at Temenos and Fiserv as they moved to SaaS business models. Steadman pioneered the product management methodology that became the business standard for software over his 20 years at Fiserv.

2. Nikkilä Petri
Position Held By: ING's Head of Global Retail Transformation
To: Santander's global CEO of Openbank

Petri Nikkilä has been named by Banco Santander as the next worldwide CEO of Openbank and the leader of the non-auto consumer division of Digital Consumer Bank. Nikkilä will answer to José Luis de Mora, Head of Digital Consumer Bank, and Daniel Barriuso, Head of Retail & Commercial Banking.

3. Nuno Sitima
Work From: Chief Operating Officer, Paymentology Board Member

At Paymentology, Nuno Sitima has taken over as COO. In his role as COO, he will be in charge of promoting operational excellence and providing the best technologies to clients. This implies that Sitima's job will be to support further innovation in order to advance Paymentology.

4. Liz Oakes
Job To: Member of the Board of Directors/Non-Executive Director, Mangopay; From: EVP Mastercard Send, Mastercard

Liz Oakes has joined the Mangopay board and has been appointed as a non-executive director. Oakes brings a wealth of experience to the table, having most recently held multiple executive roles at Mastercard.
