Todd Winship and Rayce Rossum, two former Temenos executives, co-founded yPilot, a fintech startup that specializes in GenAI solutions for financial institutions.
Vancouver, Canada-based yPilot, which was founded earlier this year, claims to be a leader in AI innovation for banks and credit unions.
Financial institutions are to be assisted by a "banking-specific, embeddable AI" technology "to delight customers, combat fraud, and solve compliance."
Rossum is the company's CTO, and Winship serves as CEO.
Rossum worked at Temenos for seven years, rising from the position of senior software engineer to that of senior principle data scientist. He worked on several AI initiatives there with institutions including UBS and Canadian Western Bank (CBW).
When Temenos, a major player in core banking technology, bought Winship's business intelligence firm Primisyn in 2011, the former joined the company.
In order to provide data and analytics solutions to the Canadian credit union industry, Winship created Primisyn in 2007. About 25 credit unions were using its flagship Simplus Enterprise Suite, which is based on Microsoft, at the time of purchase.
He headed Temenos' data and analytics business line as global product director for about 13 years throughout his tenure.
On its website, yPilot claims that "one intelligent application at a time, we are creating the future of financial services."
