The CEO of UK-based fintech ieDigital, Rami Cassis, has been selected to oversee the company as it forms a "single identity" with two recently acquired firms, Connect FSS and Abaka.
Up until now, the businesses have been run as three distinct divisions under the direction of CEO Jerry Young, who has been in the role for more than six years.
Young, who is now scheduled to retire from the position, will hand off leadership to Cassis, who has served as both an investor and a senior member of ieDigital's leadership team since the fintech was bought by his family office, Parabellum Investments, in 2012.
Having held the post at many companies, including Razor Risk, Advanco SA, and US-based IT consulting and services company MajorKey Technologies, the new CEO brings a wealth of expertise as a chairman to the job.
Speaking about the upcoming integration, Cassis claims that the quick integration of the firms would assist their clients in many ways, such as enhanced product functionality and "larger scale of both development and implementation resources."
Numerous US and UK banks, credit unions, and building societies are among ieDigital's current clientele. One such organization is Suffolk Building Society, which used ieDigital's Interact solution last year.
