The top card scheme in Norway, BankAxept, is now accepted by Softpay as part of its advanced payment solutions. Softpay is happy to announce this.
Softpay is the pioneer in providing a tap-to-phone solution that supports BankAxept, guaranteeing quick and safe transactions for consumers as well as businesses.
The successful collaborations between Plantasjen, Kristiansand Dyrepark, among others, throughout the pilot program showed how very effective Softpay's technology integration was with BankAxept's payment system.
In order to increase mobility and lower transaction costs, Softpay enables merchants to accept BankAxept cards in-store, at pop-up locations, or during deliveries using any Android device. Softpay has shown to be an effective payment method for both large, international retailers such as sports, health and beauty, and fashion brands, as well as small businesses like neighborhood eateries and hair salons.
It should come as no surprise that BankAxept, a very affordable, safe, and quick payment option, is in high demand. According to Halvor Kaafjeld, CEO of Softpay in Norway, "this is really fantastic news for all of our current customers, not to mention for those who have been waiting for this to happen and are eager to get started."
"Even though traditional payment terminals will likely be in use for some time to come, it is evident that merchants are increasingly choosing software-based solutions that eliminate the need for physical payment terminals. Softpay is already integrated with a large number of cash register systems in Norway, making it simple for the user site to begin processing payments and cash register transactions.
It should come as no surprise that BankAxept, a very affordable, safe, and quick payment option, is in high demand. This is fantastic news for all current clients, especially those who have been waiting for this to happen and are eager to get started.
I should also mention that every Softpay employee who worked on the project is really happy with how it was carried out. Halvor Kaafjeld, head of Softpay in Norway, says, "It has been a pleasure to work with both BankAxept and BITS, and we look forward to a further good partnership with BankAxept."
Because of its widely recognized and affordable payment system, BankAxept plays a crucial role in enabling a large number of in-store transactions, contributing significantly to the Norwegian economy. By integrating with Softpay, merchants in Norway can now offer their customers quick, safe, and flexible payment alternatives, improving their overall customer experience.
Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and other digital wallets are among the acquirers, card schemes, and digital wallets that are supported by Softpay's platform. This guarantees that companies can effortlessly accommodate customers' preferred modes of payment by employing tap-to-phone technology, which transforms any Android handset into a pin-activated contactless payment terminal.
The availability of BankAxept as an app solution pleases us much. For smaller firms, it's more affordable and easier to launch, and it offers flexibility for companies with peak seasons where more selling points may be added quickly. According to Anita Frantzen, head of physical cards at BankAxept, "we believe the combination of traditional terminals and multiple mobile selling points will be common in the future."
