In an effort to facilitate market access, Amwins, a well-known insurance distributor, has announced the establishment of Amwins National Transportation Underwriters (ANTU).
It is anticipated that this will offer a variety of customized transportation services and over a dozen binding marketplaces, giving clients countrywide coverage.
With eight sites and almost 80 workers, retail agents will have convenient access to transportation-certified underwriters with local knowledge for both fleet and non-fleet customers.
This organization combines the knowledge of two established MGAs that are committed to the transportation industry: Amwins Transportation Underwriters (ATU) and National Truck Underwriting Managers (NTUM).
The strategic decision to harness the prosperous legacies of two autonomous organizations under Amwins is represented by the unification of ATU and NTUM into Amwins National Transportation Underwriters.
"ATU and NTUM have each been in this space for more than 40 years; they know transportation," said Ryan Armijo, president of Amwins Underwriting. We can have an even bigger influence on the business by uniting these two reputable companies because we will have unmatched market access and first-rate customer service.
Former NTUM President Justin Joyce will serve as the head of the newly established Amwins National Transportation Underwriters' binding division. Joyce provides a depth of knowledge and a track record of fostering connections with both internal and external clients, along with her 20 years of experience in the transportation insurance industry.
Program managers for environmental transportation, freight broker liability, and Advantage will continue to be in charge of Amwins National Transportation Underwriters' specialist programs section.
