The Colombian financial automation platform Simetrik has raised a significant $55 million in its Series B fundraising round.
PYMNTS claims that the prestigious Growth Equity team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management spearheaded this sizeable investment, with help from Cometa and FinTech Collective, two current partners. For Simetrik, this funding round represents a turning point, demonstrating the increasing trust that is placed in the company's creative ideas and prospects.
Simetrik was established in 2019 and has quickly become well-known in the FinTech industry. The company's specialty is offering "intuitive solutions" that automate and streamline a wide range of financial processes. These activities include accounting, reporting, controls, reconciliations, and record centralization. The Simetrik Building Blocks (SBBs), which use cutting-edge generative artificial intelligence technology and no-code development to ease financial chores, are the core of its product.
The recently raised money will be used to develop the SBBs' sophisticated AI capabilities. Co-founder and chief operating officer of Simetrik, Santiago Gómez, provided further details about their goals, saying that the funding will allow them to provide their customers with even more advanced financial automation solutions. This advancement is expected to solidify Simetrik's standing as a frontrunner in the B2B FinTech sector, providing unmatched effectiveness and inventiveness.
Simetrik is not content to sit on its laurels, as seen by its strong presence in more than 35 countries and its daily monitoring of over 200 million data. With the help of the Series B capital, the company hopes to "expand its international reach, targeting major payment companies and consumer marketplaces worldwide," according to its ambitious objectives. Simetrik's dedication to revolutionizing financial operations globally and enhancing accessibility and efficiency of financial procedures is exemplified by their global expansion strategy.
The CEO and co-founder of Simetrik, Alejandro Casas, highlighted the importance of the investment when reflecting on the successful fundraising round. "The additional funding will enhance the organization's standing in the dynamic financial industry and broaden its worldwide presence," he stated. This quote perfectly captures Simetrik's upbeat vision as it moves forward with innovation and grows its impact in the FinTech sector.
Simetrik had already attracted interest from investors prior to this Series B fundraising, having secured earlier funding rounds that facilitated its quick development and expansion.
