Leading provider of international payment services, Worldline has partnered with the Bank of China (Hong Kong), launching its Paysuite Essential Edition—previously known as Cardlite—for the first time in Hong Kong.
With BOCHK leading the way among local financial institutions, the partnership represents a change in the payment sector toward open platform solutions. BOCHK, one of Hong Kong's three note-issuing banks, is a prime example of the extra advantages that come from utilizing Worldline's open platform card solution. The Paysuite Essential Edition provides a reliable and effective substitute for conventional legacy systems.
The five main features of Worldline's open platform card solution, Paysuite Essential Edition, are issuing, acquiring, authorizing, switching, and routing.
Thanks to the relationship, Worldline can now provide BOCHK clients with a more customized experience, supported by a local support team with extensive knowledge of the area. This effort is designed to meet the regulatory requirements of the Hong Kong banking industry and facilitate BOCHK's future business expansion. Furthermore, the infrastructure helps the bank provide new business features quickly, greatly accelerating the rollout of cutting-edge services.
Through API access, which makes integration easier and promotes smooth communication with other systems like digital banking, fraud detection, and customer support, Worldline's solution expands on its possibilities. The bank may increase its flexibility, scalability, and control by creating or adjusting products on its own using an intuitive platform. Mastercard has also validated the Paysuite Essential Edition, which is already available in several regions.
Worldline's head of financial services for Asia-Pacific, Noel Chow, expressed excitement about the collaboration: "We are thrilled to collaborate with BOCHK, a distinguished bank in the area, to provide our brand-new, cutting-edge Paysuite Essential Edition solution in Hong Kong. The collaboration demonstrates how respected financial organizations see our cutting-edge open platform solutions. We think that by working together, other banks will be able to update their card systems and switch from closed to open systems.
"As open platform solutions are the future in digital payments, BOCHK is pleased to partner with Worldline, known for its comprehensive innovative Fintech solution and unparalleled local support it offers, to provide our customers with the Mastercard multi-currency debit card powered by its Paysuite Essential Edition," said Daniel Li, chief digital officer of personal banking and wealth management at Bank of China (Hong Kong). With this partnership, we are taking a big step toward fulfilling our promise to provide our cherished clients with a flawless payment experience and to encourage the widespread adoption of digital payments.
